Hello! My name is Chiara! I’m a freelance illustrator living in Italy. After I studied Architecture in Rome, I started my adventure in illustration and I opened my shop on etsy and my personal blog where I share a bit of my life and I write about me and my creative process.

I began creating sketches and digital files full of practise drawing, illustrations and cards to give to my parents and friends. I started by myself and I self taught how to draw with watercolor, loving to see my progress. And I love to learn everyday something new, so I usually spend much time on art books or on illustrators website.

My digital illustrations and watercolor painting are inspired by my love for the nature and by the everyday life but with magical and woodland themes. Usually the ideas for my works came after spend time outside in the nature, looking to art books or to my favourite illustrators. So often when it’s time to draw I have already in mind what to do and how I want the illustration to be.

In 2014 I decided to establish aCupOfCreativity, the shop who gave me the opportunity to grow as a illustrator, meet other fantastic artist and sell my drawings to people all over the world. It’s a beautiful feeling knowing that my work is hanging somewhere on a wall.

Now I work in my office spending time both on projects as a architect and as illustrator. When I’m not working, I like to be outdoor in the nature walking or biking and taking photos everywhere.
